Clinic Co-ordinator
Julie started her work with children with disabilities in 2016 where she worked as a training teacher at PPDK, Miri, Malaysia. Through her work here, she engaged in supporting children with their learning through individual and group sessions.
From 2018, Julie started her work with Therapists Abroad Inc through their program Get Equip’d. Julie was the clinical coordinator for this international program which aimed to increase awareness of disability in the community, provide vital equipment as well as provide training for therapists both in Miri as well as undergraduate students from Perth.
In addition to her role as clinical coordinator, Julie has expertise in supporting communication skills in children with disabilities to ensure that their needs and wants are understood. Julie has also spent time in Perth with The Healthy Strides Foundation to learn about evidence based practice and how it can be integrated into a Malaysian setting.
Physiotherapist
Fatanah is a graduate from Uitm Puncak Alam, Selangor in Bachelor in Physiotherapy (Honours) (2014-2018). During this time, Fatanah also engaged in research by completing a systemic review on the effectiveness of aerobic versus combined exercise on BMI among healthy, overweight and obese women.
Prior to obtaining her Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Fatanah also completed a Diploma in Applied Sciences in UiTM Kampus Samarahan (2011-2014) where she obtained Dean's Awards for 5 consecutive semesters.
Fatanah has worked as a physiotherapist in various paediatric settings in Kuching for children with disabilities (2018-2022). Her clinical interests are centred in paediatric neurological conditions. In addition to her role as physiotherapist, Fatanah has also volunteered through Diveheart (2018-2021) and attended the OKU workshop collaboration with Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Sarawak (JKMS) (2019-2022).
Physiotherapist
Angeline graduated with a Diploma in Physiotherapy, as a Dean’s Listed student from MAHSA University, Selangor in 2018. She is currently pursuing her dual degree from Anglia Ruskin University and MAHSA university in Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (Honours). During her studies, she obtained more than 1000 hours of clinical experiences at various private clinics and hospitals.
Angeline has worked in a private physiotherapy centre for 3 years where she was exposed to diverse conditions including musculoskeletal, neurological, paediatric, and geriatric rehabilitation.
Angeline understands the importance of evidence-based practice and how it brings significant impact on children with disabilities, and she is dedicated to helping them to improve their quality of life. As a physiotherapist, she finds helping people to achieve their goals as rewarding and fulfilling.
