Physiotherapist
Fatanah is a graduate from Uitm Puncak Alam, Selangor in Bachelor in Physiotherapy (Honours) (2014-2018). During this time, Fatanah also engaged in research by completing a systemic review on the effectiveness of aerobic versus combined exercise on BMI among healthy, overweight and obese women.
Prior to obtaining her Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Fatanah also completed a Diploma in Applied Sciences in UiTM Kampus Samarahan (2011-2014) where she obtained Dean's Awards for 5 consecutive semesters.
Fatanah has worked as a physiotherapist in various paediatric settings in Kuching for children with disabilities (2018-2022). Her clinical interests are centred in paediatric neurological conditions. In addition to her role as physiotherapist, Fatanah has also volunteered through Diveheart (2018-2021) and attended the OKU workshop collaboration with Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Sarawak (JKMS) (2019-2022).
Therapy Assistant
Deborah completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of British Columbia (UBC) from 2019 to 2023 and earned a place on the Dean's Honour List.
Throughout her university career, Deborah engaged in various research projects including investigating the influence of amino acids in diabetes at UBC, exploring the impact of exercise on depression in the Taiwanese population at National Taiwan University, as well as studying spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries in animals at Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute.
Deborah has also participated in Assisting Individuals with Disadvantages (AID) Volunteer Program, where they provided mentorship services in rural communities in South Taiwan( 2019). Additionally, Deborah volunteered at the Angkor Wat Children's Hospital, participating in fundraising efforts and providing basic education to children in Siem Reap, Cambodia (2018).
Deborah’s experience in the local healthcare settings was gained through her past internship at Borneo Medical Centre (2021) and Excellence Physiotherapy and Rehab Centre (2020-2021) where she assisted physiotherapists in providing patient-centred care and assisting patients with physical and cognitive disabilities.
Deborah is currently broadening her knowledge and skillsets at Healthy Strides Malaysia before she commences her further education in Physiotherapy.
Physiotherapist
Mohammad Sapri bin Sahari graduated from Uitm Samarahan in 2014 with a diploma in applied science. While in the diploma level course, he earned the Dean’s list award in 4 consecutive semesters.
Sapri graduated with a bachelor degree in Physiotherapy (Honours) from Uitm Puncak Alam in 2020. His thesis research was the association between cardiorespiratory endurance, depression and the fear of falling amongst community dwelling elderly with or without cognitive impairment.
Throughout the bachelor degree course, Sapri participated in a vestibular rehabilitation management course in Uitm Puncak Alam (2017). Sapri also actively volunteered in Elderly Community Outreach Program (ECOP) Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya, Selangor in 2019 as a health screener and as a Sports Physiotherapist for karnival sukan mahasiswa (karisma) in Uitm Puncak Alam in 2019.
Amongst Sapri's proudest achievements is earning a Dean list award in the 7th semester in his final year of study - a highly commendable effort whilst finishing studies during Covid-19 pandemic.
